Get started with sewing with this workshop, lead by Matti 3hr workshop all about the very basics of sewing! Learn the starting points of domestic machine sewing and hand sewing. Make either an apron or a helmet base, even some small horns if time permits! All materials provided and take home what you make! Within the scope of this introductory workshop, the attendees will be able to produce a finished product that consists of an apron or a helmet base, in their own choice of colour from the materials provided. What You’ll Learn: We’ll kick things off with some demos and explanations, then you’ll jump into making: Introduction to Basic Hand Stitching: Learn core techniques and how to finish seams Getting Started with Domestic Sewing Machines: Threading, stitching straight lines, and using different settings Fabric Fundamentals: Understand different fabric types, how they behave, and how to work with them Practical Info: Arrive 15 minutes early to get your materials and station set up Wear something comfy that you don’t mind working in
