Who Are U.S.?

Unlikely Studios, located in Royal Albert Wharf, London, specializes in custom props and costumes for various industries, including Drag, Cabaret, Film, and TV. Our work has been showcased in notable projects like the BFI x BMW film challenge with Michaela Coel, costumes and The Witcher. Our dedicated team of three: Mattiand Daniele are both graduates of the 3D Effects for Performance Fashion course at LCF, UAL.

The Duo

Matti is mainly a maker, specialising in material and process knowledge, easily figuring out how to go from sketch to final product using different processes in different budget ranges.

Their main line of work involves working on structured bases including body padding and enhancements or different methods of construction when it comes to costume. They also are great at patterning from scratch or pattern alteration, for both foam and fabric.

Matti is also great sewer and is very comfortable with molding and casting, recently finishing a job casting large scale work in fiberglass.

Daniele is a designer and maker driven by the transformative power of fashion, art, and performance.

With a deep understanding of materials and form, he excels in designing original concepts; merging digital tools and industry techniques to bring his ideas to life.

His work is rooted in queerness, alienation, and transformation, with a mix of the organic, the surreal, and the downright bizarre. He believes in creativity as a tool for empowerment and tapping into the subconscious through costume and design. You might also know him as Meta Morph, his performance alter ego where he is able to bring his creations into performance.
